Let Your Little One Take a Journey Down Noe Valley's Rabbit Hole

The Rabbit Hole, a Noe Valley theater company for young people, offers a delightful opportunity for children to experience the creative self-expression. The company offers classes and summer camps for little kids up to age ten. The whimsical themes, such as Bunny Ballet and Unicorn Forest, evoke a magical storyland of play and creativity.

A newer addition to the Noe Valley menu of kid-friendly businesses, The Rabbit Hole fills a fun niche for play and performance that is based less on technology and more on imaginative play. As their vision statement, The Rabbit Hole strives to be a “true wonderland where children can be nurtured in the power of their imagination.”

We recently interviewed Brooke Wallace, Director of Wonder and Founder of The Rabbit Hole about her the company.

How long have you been in Noe Valley?
We have been in our Noe Valley location for two years.

What is your favorite part of your work?
My favorite part of my job is contributing something to our community that I feel is extremely valuable and will help inspire our future generations. I love that we spend our days in a land of wonder really nurturing kids' creative confidence. I believe strongly that the arts should be something centered around play, joy and make- believe! Noe Valley has been the perfect place to succeed in this.

What is one thing you wish you could tell people about The Rabbit Hole?
We are not your traditional theater school. We focus less on technique and center our programing on the the joy of theatrical play, the importance of using our imagination and cultivating kids' creative confidence. There is no mastery without the freedom to dream and believe in your ideas so we teach that part first!

Fun fact about you outside of work?
I started teaching theatre and dance classes 4 years ago out of a work/live studio in the mission. I'm forever grateful to the first families who walked through a less than conventional space and gave me a shot. They were the start of everything.
